Our extraordinary Early Childhood advisors never forget that they are introducing their students to the world of school and to the wonders of the world.
They take the time to get to know every child, meet them where they are, and make a real connection. Our Early Childhood spaces are joyous and loving, drawing everyone in.
Understanding the power of play and the importance of trust, Early Childhood advisors spend snack breaks, lunchtimes, and recesses with their students, offering gentle guidance and support as children stretch their social-emotional, academic, and physical skills. And they work diligently to create exceptional learning experiences based on the natural interests of each young learner.
Two Years of Togetherness
Small children form big attachments to the adults they care for and who care for them. Your child’s advisor will be with them for the entire time they are in the Early Childhood program, watching them learn and grow and thrive, providing consistency and care.
Documenting Our Days
As part of our Reggio Emilia approach, teachers journal each day’s learning, capturing student voices, questions, creations, and observations in real time throughout the day. Reviewing the class journal gives families a wonderful window on “what happened at school today”—and ways to extend that learning at home.
Connecting with Families
Early Childhood teachers partner with parents to support student progress and respond quickly to any questions or concerns. At drop-off or pickup, by phone or email, during parent-teacher conferences or classroom volunteer sessions, teachers and families can share their pride in each student’s progress.
